There are additional costs to consider with every house purchase and the main two are Solicitor Fees and Property Survey costs.

Solicitor fees can vary considerably and it’s always good to get an idea of all the additional costs referred to as disbursements including stamp duty. A typical solicitor may charge £800- £1,400 for their fee. Property Surveys can again vary depending on the nature of the survey. The survey will be instructed by the lender and typically can vary from £500 to £700 or higher on some properties.
